OX1a

Olfactory Receptor Antagonist

OX1a is an Orco antagonist that non-competitively inhibits the activation of oxygen odor receptors (ORs). This compound reduces OR activation by competing with Orco agonists and demonstrates non-competitive inhibition of odor molecules, influencing the olfactory-mediated behaviors in insects. Structural optimization of OX1a analogs has resulted in compounds with enhanced antagonistic potency, suggesting a broad application potential across various insect species in chemical research and pest control studies.
