Oxfenicine

CTP-1 Inhibitor

Oxfenicine is a potent inhibitor of carnitine palmitoyltransferase-1 (CPT-1), a key enzyme in fatty acid metabolism. It effectively reduces fatty acid oxidation in cardiac tissue, providing protection against ischemic necrotic injury and reducing cardiac apoptosis. Additionally, Oxfenicine enhances lipolysis in models of high-fat diet, making it a valuable tool for investigating cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Its diverse biological activity supports its application in preclinical research related to heart and metabolic health.
