Oxolamine

Cough Suppressant

Oxolamine is an orally active cough suppressant that primarily targets antitussive pathways. It has demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects on the respiratory tract in animal models, specifically in guinea pigs. Additionally, Oxolamine can inhibit CYP2B1/2, influencing the pharmacokinetics of co-administered drugs such as Warfarin. This compound is valuable for research applications focusing on respiratory diseases and the modulation of cough reflex mechanisms.
