Pamidronic acid sodium

Bone Loss Inhibitors

Pamidronic acid sodium is a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate primarily targeting bone loss. It effectively inhibits subchondral bone loss in early osteoarthritis by upregulating osteoprotegerin and downregulating RANKL and MMP-9 expressions, thereby mitigating cartilage degeneration. Additionally, Pamidronic acid sodium inhibits Wnt and β-catenin signaling pathways, making it a valuable reagent for research on osteoporosis and osteosarcoma.
