Patisiran sodium

Transthyretin Inhibitor

Patisiran sodium is a double-stranded small interfering RNA that targets a specific sequence within the messenger RNA of transthyretin (TTR). It effectively inhibits the hepatic synthesis of both mutant and wild-type TTR. This reagent is primarily used in research applications related to hereditary TTR amyloidosis, providing valuable insights into the disorder's underlying mechanisms.
