PBITC

Antitumor Agent

PBITC (4-Phenylbutyl isothiocyanate) functions as an orally active antitumor agent, exhibiting significant inhibitory effects on lung tumors induced by NNK in murine models. As a thio-analog of ISC-4, a known apoptosis inducer, PBITC's mechanism of action may be linked to its ability to promote cell death in neoplastic cells. This compound is valuable for research applications focused on cancer therapeutics and the study of apoptosis pathways.
