Pep2m

NSF-GluR2 Receptor Inhibitor

Pep2m is a peptide-based inhibitor targeting the N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein (NSF) interaction with the C-terminus of the AMPA-type glutamate receptor subunit GluA2. By inhibiting this interaction, Pep2m effectively prevents synaptic long-term depression (LTD), leading to a reduction in postsynaptic currents and AMPA-mediated currents in cultured hippocampal neurons. Additionally, it decreases the surface expression of AMPA receptors, making it a valuable tool for studies on synaptic transmission and plasticity.
