Perfluorododecanoic acid

Perfluoroalkyl Substance

Perfluorododecanoic acid (PFDoA) is a perfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) known for its impact on cellular viability. Research indicates that PFDoA decreases the viability of PC12 cells while simultaneously increasing levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA). Furthermore, exposure to PFDoA leads to a reduction in mitochondrial membrane potential, highlighting its significance in studies related to oxidative stress and cellular toxicity.
