Perforin Inhibitor

Perforin-IN-3 is a selective inhibitor of perforin, targeted at blocking perforin-mediated pore formation and subsequent cytolysis in immune responses. This compound effectively inhibits natural killer (NK) cell-mediated cytotoxicity against target cells, such as leukemia cells, while leaving FasL- and TRAIL-mediated apoptotic pathways intact. Perforin-IN-3 does not affect pneumolysin, making it a valuable tool for research into autoimmune diseases, allograft rejection, graft-versus-host disease, and familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.
