Perhexiline maleate

CPT1/CPT2 Inhibitor

Perhexiline maleate is a selective inhibitor of Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1 (CPT1) and Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 2 (CPT2), which significantly reduces fatty acid metabolism. This compound induces mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis in hepatic cells, demonstrating potential anti-tumor activity. Additionally, Perhexiline maleate's ability to cross the blood-brain barrier makes it relevant for research applications in oncology and cardiovascular diseases, including angina.
