DGAT2 Inhibitor
PF-06427878 is a selective inhibitor of diacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2), demonstrating IC50 values of 99 nM and 202 nM for human and rat DGAT2, respectively. The compound exhibits over 470-fold selectivity for DGAT2 compared to DGAT1 and monoacylglycerol acyltransferases (MGAT1, MGAT2, MGAT3). PF-06427878 is effective in improving liver steatosis and function, making it a valuable reagent for research into nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and related metabolic disorders.
