PGK1 Inhibitor
PGK1-IN-1 is a selective inhibitor of phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1), exhibiting an IC50 of 33 nM. This compound effectively disrupts PGK1- mediated glycolytic metabolism, leading to decreased glucose consumption and lactate production. Additionally, PGK1-IN-1 promotes the accumulation of Nrf2 and enhances HO-1 expression while suppressing the production of inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-6. It is of particular interest in studies related to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as it has demonstrated efficacy in ameliorating DSS-induced experimental colitis in murine models.
