PHD-1-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor prolylhydroxylase domain-1 (PHD-1), demonstrating an IC50 of 0.034 μM. This compound exhibits a unique monodentate binding interaction with the active site Fe2+ ion, leading to the formation of the "Arg367-out" pocket.
