Phelorphan

DNA/RNA Synthesi

Phelorphan is a purine MTH1 inhibitor that engages the cellular MTH1 enzyme, primarily involved in the synthesis of DNA and RNA. While its cytotoxic effects on cancer cells are comparatively lower than those of other MTH1 inhibitors, it serves important functions in studying the role of MTH1 in cellular metabolism and potential off-target effects. Phelorphan is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the mechanisms of cancer cell survival and therapeutic strategies associated with MTH1 modulation.
