Phocaecholic acid

Bile Acid

Phocaecholic acid, a bile acid derived from duck bile, primarily targets pathways involved in bile acid metabolism. This compound can be excreted into bile and undergoes partial decarboxylation to nor-chenodeoxycholic acid in rat models. Phocaecholic acid holds potential for research applications in investigating bile acid metabolism and associated diseases.
