Phosphate acetyltransferase

Transferase Enzyme

Phosphate acetyltransferase is a transferase enzyme that catalyzes the reversible acetylation of coenzyme A (CoA) by transferring the acetyl group from acetyl phosphate (acetyl-P) to form acetyl-CoA and inorganic phosphate. This enzyme plays a critical role in acetate assimilation and dissimilation pathways. It is widely utilized in biochemical research for studies on metabolic processes and enzyme kinetics.
