PhosTACs
PhosTAC7 is a heterobifunctional Phosphorylation Targeting Chimera (PhosTAC) that selectively targets and dephosphorylates proteins such as PDCD4, FOXO3a, and tau by recruiting serine/threonine protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A). This ability to modulate the phosphorylation state of specific proteins positions PhosTAC7 as a valuable tool for research in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases associated with tau pathology, such as Alzheimer's disease. Its precise mechanism allows for detailed studies of cellular signaling pathways and therapeutic potential in targeted protein modulation.
