Phyllodulcin

Sweetener, Phosphodiesterase Inhibitor

Phyllodulcin is a non-selective phosphodiesterase inhibitor and a naturally occurring sweetener derived from Hydrangea macrophylla var. thunbergii. This compound demonstrates anti-allergic properties by inhibiting lymphocyte activation. Additionally, Phyllodulcin has potential applications in obesity research through its ability to modulate leptin levels, affect fat browning-related gene expression, and influence hypothalamic BDNF-TrkB signaling pathways.
