Picornain 3C

Picornain 3C is a viral protease targeting peptide bonds of non-terminal sequences in picornaviruses. It exhibits endopeptidase activity, specifically cleaving Gln-Gly bonds within the poliovirus polyprotein, and can accommodate substitutions such as Glu for Gln and Ser or Thr for Gly in other picornaviruses.
