Light Protectant/Antioxidant

Porphyra 334 is a natural photoprotective compound that functions as an antioxidant, primarily by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS). It inhibits the expression and activity of matrix metalloproteinases MMP-1 and MMP-8, while promoting collagen and elastin synthesis. Additionally, Porphyra 334 demonstrates anti-obesity effects through the inhibition of PPARγ2 and C/EBPα expression. This compound also protects cells from UV-induced DNA damage and apoptosis by inhibiting caspase-3 activation.
