Prolylserine

Melanin Inhibitor

Prolylserine is a dipeptide that functions as a melanin production inhibitor, specifically targeting melanogenesis in Mel-Ab cells. It reduces the expression of microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and the enzyme tyrosinase, while also promoting the phosphorylation of ERK without affecting cAMP response element binding protein (CREB). This compound is valuable for research applications focused on skin pigmentation, melanoma studies, and the modulation of melanocyte function.
