Pronethalol hydrochloride
β-adrenergic Antagonist
Pronethalol hydrochloride is a non-selective β-adrenergic antagonist. It demonstrates potent inhibition of Sox2 expression, making it a valuable reagent for studies examining stem cell biology and differentiation. Additionally, Pronethalol has been shown to protect against and reverse digitalis-induced ventricular arrhythmias, as well as limit the formation of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Its diverse biological activity makes it applicable in cardiovascular research and developmental biology investigations.
