Propacetamol

Analgesic Agent

Propacetamol is an orally active prodrug of Acetaminophen, serving primarily as an analgesic agent. After metabolic conversion, it exhibits antipyretic and analgesic properties, while also mitigating Aspirin-induced malondialdehyde (MDA) elevation in gastric mucosa and plasma. Propacetamol effectively regulates glutathione levels, enhancing cellular antioxidant defenses, and increases uric acid levels in the gastric mucosa. Its dose-dependent protective effects against Aspirin-induced gastric mucosal damage make it a valuable tool for studying gastric mucosal injury associated with oxidative stress.
