Propargite

Pesticide

Propargite is a pesticide primarily targeting mite populations through its disruptive effects on cellular integrity. It induces β-cell necrosis and DNA damage, demonstrating notable cytotoxicity in MIN6 cells with an IC50 of approximately 1 μM. Additionally, propargite serves as a click chemistry reagent due to its alkyne group, facilitating copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with azide-containing compounds, making it a versatile tool in chemical biology and material science research applications.
