Pseudouridimycin TFA

RNAP Inhibitor

Pseudouridimycin TFA is a selective inhibitor of bacterial RNA polymerase (RNAP), demonstrating an IC50 of approximately 0.1 μM and minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) ranging from 4-6 μg/mL. This C-nucleoside analogue exhibits effective antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. In vitro studies confirm its capacity to inhibit bacterial growth, and it also shows efficacy in a mouse model of purulent streptococcal peritonitis, making it valuable for research in antibacterial mechanisms.
