Pt(II)-NHC complex 2C

ICD Inducer

Pt(II)-NHC Complex 2C is a Platinum(II) complex featuring an N-heterocyclic carbene, which functions as an immunogenic cell death (ICD) inducer. This compound effectively induces endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) and generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) in liver cancer cells, leading to the release of damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMP). Additionally, Pt(II)-NHC Complex 2C inhibits cell cycle progression at the S phase and promotes significant apoptosis. Its demonstrated anti-liver cancer properties in mouse models and the activation of immune cells in liver injury contexts make it a valuable tool for cancer research and therapeutic investigations.
