Farnesoid X Receptor Agonist
PX20606 is an orally active agonist of the farnesoid X receptor (FXR), exhibiting an EC50 of 220 nM for mouse FXR and 50 nM for human FXR, as determined by the Gal4-FXR assay. This compound promotes the expression of the tumor suppressor gene NDRG2 and has demonstrated the ability to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis in a mouse hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) model. Additionally, PX20606 offers hepatoprotective properties, making it valuable for research in liver diseases and cancer biology.
