Pyridoxatin

Free Radical Scavenger

Pyridoxatin is a free radical scavenger derived from the fungus Acremonium sp. BX86. This compound effectively inhibits lipid peroxidation induced by free radicals in rat liver microsomes that lack vitamin E, contributing to its potential protective effects against oxidative stress. Pyridoxatin is valuable for research applications focused on oxidative damage and the study of antioxidant mechanisms.
