Pyrimidinone 8
DMT1 Inhibitor
Pyrimidinone 8 is a reversible linear non-competitive inhibitor of divalent metal transporter 1 (DMT1), demonstrating a Ki value of 20 μM for human DMT1 (hDMT1). This compound does not alter the cell surface expression of hDMT1 and functions independently of extracellular pH. Pyrimidinone 8 effectively inhibits hDMT1-mediated iron uptake, exhibiting an IC50 of 13.8 μM, making it a valuable tool for research into iron transport and related biological processes.
