Dynamin I/II Inhibitor

Pyrimidyn 7 is a selective inhibitor of dynamin I and II, exhibiting IC50 values of 1.1 μM and 1.8 μM, respectively. This compound functions by competitively inhibiting the binding of GTP and phospholipids to dynamin I, thereby interfering with clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME). Pyrimidyn 7 has demonstrated effectiveness in inhibiting the uptake of transferrin and epidermal growth factor (EGF) in various non-neuronal cell lines, making it a valuable tool for research in cell biology and endocytic processes.
