Pyrrothiogatain
GATA3 Inhibitor
Pyrrothiogatain is a selective inhibitor of the transcription factor GATA3, exhibiting an IC50 of 54.7 μM. By disrupting the DNA-binding activity of GATA3, Pyrrothiogatain effectively impedes Th2 cell differentiation and the production of Th2 cytokines. Additionally, it demonstrates anti-infective properties by inhibiting ACE2 expression. This compound is relevant for research in inflammation, immunology, infectious diseases, and cancer, including studies on colon cancer and SARS-CoV-2 infection.
