PZ-3022
PanK Activator
PZ-3022 is an allosteric activator of Pantothenate Kinase (PanK), functioning to counteract C3-CoA inhibition. This compound has demonstrated the ability to elevate hepatic CoA-SH and C2-CoA levels while reducing C3-CoA concentrations in a mouse model of propionic acidemia. PZ-3022 is valuable for research investigating mitochondrial defects associated with propionic acidemia and contributes to understanding metabolic pathways in this condition.
