Quinotolast

Antiallergic Agent

Quinotolast is an orally active antiallergic agent that specifically inhibits histamine release from rat peritoneal cells. This compound has demonstrated effectiveness in reducing skin reactions in a guinea pig model, suppressing the release of both histamine and peptide leukotrienes from guinea pig lung fragments and mouse cultured mast cells. Quinotolast is suitable for studies investigating mechanisms of allergy and the development of antiallergic therapies.
