Quinupramine

Antidepressant

Quinupramine is an orally active antidepressant that primarily targets the central serotonin system to modulate neurotransmission processes. It effectively penetrates the central nervous system (CNS) while exhibiting antidepressant activity independent of the β-adrenergic system. Quinupramine is utilized in research to explore mechanisms of depression and the impact of serotonergic modulation on behavior and mood disorders.
