Quoromycin

SmcR Inhibitor

Quoromycin is a selective inhibitor of SmcR, demonstrating a Kd of 0.697 μM for Vibrio vulnificus SmcR. By binding directly to SmcR, Quoromycin diminishes its affinity for DNA, effectively disrupting the quorum sensing signaling pathway. This compound is valuable for investigating the mechanisms underlying Vibrio vulnificus infections.
