LPCAT3 Inhibitor
(R)-HTS-3 is a selective inhibitor of lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 3 (LPCAT3), exhibiting an IC50 value of 0.09 μM. This compound effectively reduces the C20:4 content in phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylcholine (PC), and phosphatidylserine (PS) while simultaneously increasing C22:4 phospholipid levels. Additionally, (R)-HTS-3 leads to a paradoxical rise in C20:4 phosphatidylinositol (PI) lipids, making it a valuable tool for studying lipid metabolism and LPCAT3-related biological pathways.
