(Rac)-Glutipyran
GLUT Inhibitor
(Rac)-Glutipyran is a broad-spectrum inhibitor of glucose transporters GLUT1 and GLUT3. It effectively inhibits glucose uptake, leading to significant suppression of the growth of various cancer cell lines, including PANC-1, with an IC50 value of 1.8 μM for cell growth and 0.13 μM for glucose uptake. This compound serves as a valuable tool for research in cancer metabolism and the role of glucose transport in tumorigenesis.
