Anti-cancer Agent, Anti-angiogenic Agent
RAPTA-C (Ru(η6-p-cymene)Cl2(pta)) is a potent anti-cancer and anti-angiogenic agent. It demonstrates significant anti-metastatic and anti-tumoral activities by inducing alterations in protein and histone-DNA interactions. RAPTA-C effectively inhibits cell growth by inducing G2/M phase arrest in cancer cells and enhances p53 levels, activating the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway. This compound has been shown to impede tumor growth by inhibiting angiogenesis in ovarian carcinoma models, making it a valuable tool for cancer research.
