Raxofelast

Antioxidant Agent

Raxofelast is an antioxidant agent known for its protective role in models of ischemia-reperfusion injury. It exhibits antiproliferative activity in hydrogen peroxide-stimulated rat aortic smooth muscle cells by inhibiting key signaling pathways, including mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), ERK kinase 1 and 2 (MEK1,2), and protein kinase C (PKC), while leaving Ras expression unaffected. This compound is valuable for research applications aimed at understanding oxidative stress and related vascular pathologies.
