Retro-2
Trafficking Inhibitor
Retro-2 is a selective inhibitor of retrograde protein trafficking, targeting the endosome-trans-Golgi network interface. This compound serves as an effective inhibitor of ebolavirus (EBOV) infection, demonstrating an EC50 of 12.2 μM in HeLa cells. Additionally, Retro-2 has been shown to stimulate cellular autophagy, making it a valuable tool for research into viral pathogenesis and cellular trafficking mechanisms.
