Rooperol
Norlignan Analog
Rooperol is a norlignan analog that targets cancer stem cells (CSCs) through a mitochondrial-induced increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) and a p53-dependent signaling pathway. It exhibits significant antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Rooperol induces apoptosis in CSCs and downregulates key stem cell regulatory factors, including Oct4, Nanog, and Sox2, thereby enhancing its anticancer effects.
