ROS 234
H3 Antagonist
ROS 234 is a high-affinity H3 receptor antagonist, exhibiting a pKB of 9.46 for the guinea pig ileum H3 receptor and a pKi of 8.90 for the rat cerebral cortex H3 receptor. This compound demonstrates an ED50 of 19.12 mg/kg via intraperitoneal administration in ex vivo studies of the rat cerebral cortex. Although it provides significant peripheral activity, ROS 234 shows limited central nervous system penetration, making it suitable for peripheral H3 receptor studies and related pharmacological research.
