hTAAR1 Antagonist
RTI-7470-44 is a potent antagonist of the human trace amine-associated receptor subtype 1 (hTAAR1), exhibiting an IC50 value of 8.4 nM and a Ki value of 0.3 nM. With its ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and moderate metabolic stability, RTI-7470-44 demonstrates a favorable preliminary off-target profile. This compound effectively increases the spontaneous firing rate of dopaminergic neurons in the mouse ventral tegmental area (VTA) and is valuable for research into schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and Parkinson’s disease (PD).
