S-isomer of Allantoin

(S)-Allantoin is the S-isomer of Allantoin, which selectively binds to the active site of urate oxidase. This compound can be enzymatically converted to Allantoate through the action of allantoicase. In research applications, (S)-Allantoin serves as a nitrogen source in the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana, facilitating studies in plant biology and metabolism.
