S584 dihydrochloride

Piribedil Metabolite

S584 dihydrochloride is a catechol metabolite of Piribedil, primarily targeting lipid oxidation pathways. This compound exhibits significant anti-lipid peroxidation activity, effectively inhibiting lipid peroxidation in rat synaptosomes both under basal conditions and when stimulated by Fe³⁺. Additionally, S584 dihydrochloride decreases the levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) in the brains of mice exposed to hyperoxia and normal atmospheric conditions. This reagent is valuable for research into oxidative stress and neuronal protection.
