SAK3
Channel Enhancer
SAK3 is a selective enhancer of T-type voltage-gated Ca2+ channels (T-VGCCs), specifically targeting Cav3.1 and Cav3.3 channel subtypes. This compound has demonstrated the ability to improve memory deficits in olfactory-bulbectomized mice, highlighting its potential in cognitive research. Additionally, SAK3 has been shown to inhibit amyloid β plaque formation in APP-KI mice through the activation of proteasomal activity, making it a valuable tool for studies related to neurodegeneration and Alzheimer's disease.
