Salicylate choline

Anti-cancer Agent

Salicylate choline, an orally active derivative of acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin), functions as an anti-cancer agent through its ability to significantly reduce pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-10. This compound enhances the anti-tumor activity of the CRM1 inhibitor Selinexor by inducing S-phase cell cycle arrest and impairing DNA damage repair mechanisms. Research applications include the study of cancer, inflammation, and rheumatic diseases, demonstrating promising anti-tumor efficacy in xenograft models with JeKo-1 cells.
