αvβ3/αvβ5 Receptor Antagonist
SB-273005 is a potent non-peptide antagonist of the αvβ3 and αvβ5 integrins, exhibiting Ki values of 1.2 nM and 0.3 nM, respectively. This compound impedes the interaction between integrins and the RGD sequence within the extracellular matrix, resulting in the inhibition of Rictor phosphorylation and a reduction in IL-10 secretion. SB-273005 effectively modulates inflammatory responses, prevents bone loss, and regulates vascular smooth muscle function, making it valuable for research applications related to rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and aneurysms.
