Taxane

SB-T-101141 is a novel taxane that targets ferroptosis, providing a potential therapeutic avenue for overcoming Paclitaxel resistance in breast cancer. It facilitates the generation of iron, ferrous ions, and reactive oxygen species, while stably binding to KHSRP to inhibit iron-dependent expression of CISD1, crucial for iron homeostasis. Additionally, SB-T-101141 promotes the activation of JNK and PERK pathways in an iron-dependent manner through KHSRP. In preclinical models, this compound has demonstrated the ability to suppress breast tumor growth in MCF-7 (PR)/MDA-MB-231 (PR) and KHSRP knockdown MCF-7 xenograft models.
