RACK1 Binder

SB2960 is a specific binder to the receptor for activated protein C kinase 1 (RACK1), exhibiting a dissociation constant (KD) of 5.65 μM in human cells. This compound promotes the formation of stress granules and demonstrates significant antiviral activity against a range of viral pathogens by modulating host immune responses, effectively inhibiting viral replication with low cytotoxicity. Additionally, SB2960 enhances the thermal stability of RACK1, reduces SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein levels, and induces type I interferon (IFN-β) expression while inhibiting the expression of RIG-I, ISG56, and RANTES. It is applicable for investigations into viral infections and immune modulation.
